The Obama administration has stabbed Mubarak in the back: while propping it up with aid, at the same time it was encouraging the opposition. El-Baradei, considered the "leader" of the democratic oposition, is the man that helped the Iranians advance with their nuclear ambitions. And now this.
As Carter lost Persia to Khomeini, Obama is bent on loosing Egipt to the Muslim Brotherhood, which has been the real inspiration for Hamas, Al-Qaeda and the Iranian Revolution.
The difference is that back then, as Persia was lost to Islamic Fundamentalism, Egypt left Soviet patronage and became the West's partner. Now with Iran consolidated in its role as an exporter of Islamic Revolution, and Turkey, an old ally of the West sliding gradually toward Islamofascism, Egypt's joining them would mean an emboldening for the Islamofascist Supremacy movement worldwide and a sure escalation of the belic conflict in the Middle East.
